William Delano Pruett was the last of the Pruett children, the 4th boy. Grandpa Pruett would have been 51 years old at his birth and Grandma Pruett was 47. His brother Fred already had 4 sons by this time which made him an uncle when he was delivered (not too many people can say they have 4 nephews who are older than they are). He was always telling a joke or laughing and could find humor in every day life. Humor is one of the traits of the Pruett family. He was called “Dale” by all. Dale had a rare kidney diagnosis and was hospitalized in West Virginia University Hospital for a long period of time prior to his death – there was no cure at this time in medicine for his disease process. All who knew Dale have fond memories to share.
